Lesson 2

Lesson 2's topic was: "What Factors Must be Considered in Planning and Implementing Library Automation?" Fewer participants attempted and completed this lesson than Lesson 1. Thirty-five (35) participants had completed Lesson 2; seven (7) participants had attempted Lesson 2 but did not complete it while seventeen (17) participants had not attempted Lesson 2. Reasons given for not attempting or completing Lesson 2 were primarily related to time constraints and other priorities related to work. Among the participants who had attempted Lesson 2 all forty-two (42) respondents considered that Lesson 2 was structured logically and the learning objectives for the lesson were stated clearly. Forty (40) participants felt that the information provided was sufficiently detailed to enable a good understanding of the topic and thirty-seven (37) participants said that the information provided in the PowerPoint slides was useful in enabling a better understanding of the topic.
