Assists in the projects on safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage and the project to promote Intercultural Dialogue and a Culture of Peace in South-East Asia through Shared Histories, as well as other administrative supports for Culture Unit.

Assists in programmes for Intangible Cultural Heritage, Underwater Cultural Heritage and prevention of illicit trafficking of cultural properties; implements project "Revival of Traditional Building CRaftsmanship for the Conservation of World Heritage Sites" in Thailand; coordinates media and unit's visibility.
Coordinates Gompas and Markets "Safeguarding the Legacy of Tibetan Culture"; provides technical advice on cultural heritage management, sustainable cultural development, sustainable cultural eco-tourism and linguistically appropriate responses to HIV/AIDS and human trafficking prevention among the ethnic minority populations of the Greater Mekong Subregion, especially in southwestern China.
Area of Concentration: China with a focus on Yunnan and Sichuan.

National Professional Officer
Implements activities related to immovable and movable heritage, particularly World Heritage including oversee the implementation of UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards programme. Also supports programmes incorporating culture into national development strategies and programmes, particularly, the UNPAF Thailand joint partnership on Creative Economy and undertake development of culture projects and programmes, especially with a view to extra-budgetary fund-raising.
