Regional Preparation Meeting to the 2ndWorld Conference on Arts Education

In preparation to the Second World Conference on Arts Education, and as part of a global consultation on Arts Education, the UNESCO Bangkok Culture Unit convened a two-day consultation gathering UNESCO Arts in Education Observatories representatives, regional experts and members of the World Conference organizing committee to reflect on the contribution of the Asia Pacific region to the Seoul Conference.
The main outcome of the meeting was the development of recommendations to the organizing committee of the World conference. The meeting was also the occasion to discuss the work of the network leading up to the Conference and also initiated a broader discussion on Arts Education research in the region through the review of the work of the observatories and discussions on how the network can be perfected and expended both regionally and globally.
