Atelier in Takino, Hyogo

This old Japanese private house originally consisted of 4 parts built in different eras and for different functions. In April 2002, upon the owner’s request, a one-year long conservation project was launched to renovate the Meiji era Miso-Kura (bean paste warehouse) and parts of the connecting main residence, the Doma (entrance hall and kitchen) into a modern atelier.
