Who can join the Asian Academy?

The Asian Academy for Heritage Management is open to all institutions that are engaged in the teaching and research of heritage conservation and management in Asia and the Pacific. If your institution would like to become a member of the Asian Academy, please contact Secretariat at asian-academy(at)unescobkk.org or go to our Members page for more information.

 

What are members supposed to contribute to the Asian Academy?

The Asian Academy for Heritage Management is committed to the conservation of Asia’s cultural heritage. As a network it depends on its members whose active support and involvement are essential for the development of the network. Therefore, members of the Asian Academy are expected to initiate and to participate in the organization of joint events, such as field schools and other training activities. Furthermore, academic exchange should be fostered, and training offers should be available to all members.

 

 

What are the benefits of being a member of the Asian Academy?

As a member of the Asian Academy you will benefit from the assets of a highly capable network facilitating cultural heritage conservation and management in Asia and the Pacific through training activities. You will have access to the shared resources of the network and can exchange your experience and knowledge with other professionals. Moreover, you are empowered to participate in courses, seminars and workshops offered by the Asian Academy.
