<p><font color="#33711E"><strong>Workshop on community-based ESD initiatives</strong></font></p>

This workshop brought together representatives from organizations involved in community-based ESD initiatives in South Asia. The workshop served to:
- provide a forum for a sub-regional overview of community-based ESD initiatives;
- identify the key elements of success, challenges and transferability of community-based ESD initiatives; and
- develop practical ideas for the implementation of the Decade from a community perspective.
Outcomes of the workshop focused on identifying core element of success for community-based ESD initiatives. In addition, some practical ideas for implementation of ESD from a community-based perspective were identified.
