UNESCO Bangkok (Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education) is pleased to announce the nominations for the Asia-Pacific Film/Article Contest "Better Learning, Better Life," organized from 28 September to 4 November 2012 for the young people residing in Asia and the Pacific region:  

The two winners (of a tablet computer) are:

Category A --Video: The Creative Team of Lopez National Comprehensive High School (LNCHS) in the Philippines, represented by Reynald M. Cacho, for the video project "Learning out of the Board and Beyond"

Category B --Written Article: Eer Kai Song from Malaysia for the article "Better Learning, Better Future"   

Furthermore, the three following contestants have been highly commended:   

Category A -- Video: Alejandro Hita Fernandez, residing in Thailand, for the video project "The Future Learning that I Want"

Category B -- Written Article: Edwin Tan from Singapore for the article "The 3 Ps of Learning"

Category B -- Written Article: Shirley Abraham from India for the article "Of Blinking Eyelids and Cinema Projectors: the Imagination is Learning"

We would like to thank all the young people who participated in the first contest "Better Learning, Better Life" (BLBL). The contest was very competitive and it was a difficult task for the review panel to select the two winners among so many great entries received. 

UNESCO will soon collate and look to disseminate all the creative ideas and thoughts of the young people of the region who participated in this contest. All participants will receive a certificate acknowledging their entry to this contest.
