Launch of Tertiary HIV e-Learning Distance Course (February – March 2012)

UNESCO Office, Jakarta in collaboration with University of Indonesia will launch the Tertiary HIV e-Learning Distance Course, linking 22 Universities around the nation, including two in Papua and one in Timor-Leste, with Health Promotion and HIV Prevention education.

This is the main activity under the PAF (Program Acceleration Funds) from UNAIDS and UNESCO, as the lead agency, along with UNODC and WHO are supporting the Indonesian National AIDS Commission program on HIV Prevention in youth, in particular with young key affected populations. UNESCO is also working in related programs for youth with UNICEF, UNFPA, MoNE, MoH, WPF, NAC, ARI (Independent Youth Alliance - YouthLead) and AIESEC (University Student Network).
