The ARSH monographs were prepared by Dr. Trinidad S. Osteria and her colleagues at the Yuchengco Center of De La Salle University-Manila, Philippines, as part of a regional project on “Advocacy and Educational Support for Adolescent Reproductive Health”. The project was funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and executed by the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in Asia and the Pacific. The ARSH monographs covered 13 countries in Asia and the Pacific. They are offered as a contribution to those in search of a single source for country-specific information on adolescent reproductive and sexual health in Asia and the Pacific.
The profiles are a compilation of existing materials on adolescent reproductive and sexual health. As these are compilations of reports from many different sources there are variations in style that the careful reader may note. Research materials cited in the reports come from UNFPA Country Offices covered in this study, UNESCO, UNAIDS, UNDP, UNESCAP, WHO, ADB, Family Health International (FHI) and other selected international NGOs. Therefore, the contents of each monograph depend on the original materials.
