Projects

  • PADDLE: Pacific Archive of Digital Data for Learning and Education 
    PADDLE has been developed as part of the PRIDE Project (Pacific Regional Initiatives for the Delivery of basic Education). The PRIDE Project seeks to enhance student learning in fifteen Pacific countries by strengthening the capacity of each Ministry of Education to plan and deliver quality basic education.

  • ADB and Samoa Using ICT to Improve Access to Education
    The Project is expected to improve the quality of teaching and learning in secondary schools, create better access to education through ICT and strengthen education management and coordination. ICT literacy is important in Samoa. Thirty-five percent of the population works overseas and generates 17% of the gross national income.

    An introductory meeting for participants was held last Friday at the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture (MESC). Principals and teachers from Primary and Secondary schools all over Samoa attended.
