Workshop overview

The first part of three days was devoted to sharing questions and presenting executive summaries on key ICTs in education issues, based on the present situation in different countries and on the prospective view for the future.

During the second part (22 February – 21 April 2003) the participants continued to work on ICT policies in their home countries, assisted by the group of experts at a distance (online seminar hosted by the IITE web portal, discussion forum, email and telephone conferences).

The aim was to analyse country situations and elaborate or improve masterplans on ICTs in education.

The third part involved three days (orientation session and reception on the 22nd, workshop from 23 to 25 April 2003) for a structured exchange of country experiences, to bring forward or finalize the practical work on masterplans, to develop appropriate fundraising strategies and to address implementation constraints.

During the final part, participants could avail of the assistance of an international expert to expand on their ICT project proposals.
