Tan Chor Pang

Tan Chor Pang is currently the Principal of Millennia Institute, Singapore. He previously served as the Principal of Pioneer Secondary School (1995-2005) and led the school in making significant strides by winning the Asia-Europe Classroom Award for 4 consecutive years (2002-5) for the use of ICT in project work and the Partners Award (Merit) for forging partnerships with stakeholders.  As a long serving and active member of the Asia-Europe Classroom Network, Chor Pang was appointed to serve in the Coordinating Committee of AEC-NET to provide educational direction and promote AEC-NET from 2007-2011. Since 1984, Chor Pang has served as a teacher, as Head School Planning at the MOE HQ, as Head of Mathematics in Deyi Secondary School, and as Vice-Principal of Commonwealth Secondary School and then Zhonghua Secondary School before being appointed as Principal of Pioneer Secondary School. He was awarded an MOE Teaching Bursary to pursue the Bachelor of Science course in the National University of Singapore in 1980. He has also completed the Diploma in Education (1984), Further Diploma in Education (1993) and the Diploma in Educational Administration (1996).
