It also serves as a clearing house of resources on ICT-based education programmes throughout the region and elsewhere.
UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE)
This site seeks to promote activities in UNESCO Member States in the application of information technologies in education, featuring evaluations of national action plans and policy documents in educational information technologies in various countries and regions. The searchable databases of resources provide an invaluable resource for policy/decision makers.

This excellent quarterly online journal offers cutting-edge, interesting and informative articles on all aspects of technology in education. Targeted towards policy-makers, strategists, practitioners and technologists, each month up to March 2003 had a different thematic focus, such as “Technology and learning”, “Technology and Teacher Education” and “Technology for All – Issues of Equity”.
Asian-Pacific Development Information Programme
The Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme (APDIP) is an initiative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) that aims to promote the development and application of new ICT for poverty alleviation and sustainable human development in the Asia-Pacific region. This site provides resources specific to the Asia-Pacific region.
Pan Asia Networking
Pan is a programme initiative of the International Development Research Centre of Canada which helps researchers and communities in the developing world find solutions to their social, economic, and environmental problems. The Asian E-Development Community provides news stories on innovative web access, e-marketing, digital library networks, etc. Furthermore, a Grants Programme is offered to promote an active R&D environment for Internet based applications and policy research in the Asia-Pacific region.
