Further information:

Airport arrival
The simplest way to get from the Suvarnabhumi International Airport to the city is to get a taxi. There are two kinds of taxi: the more expensive "limousine" taxi and the normal "meter" taxi. There have been reports of illegal taxi operators and we strongly encourage participants to use the meter taxi or airport limousine only.

To use the meter taxi, exit through the doors at the arrival hall. There is a line of metered taxis outside the building. Tell the taxi desk where you want to go, and they will issue you a ticket - which you keep in case of any problem with the taxi service. You will have to pay the highway toll fee at each toll gate (in total between 65 and 75 Baht depending on your destination). Upon arrival at the hotel, you will have to pay a 50 Baht taxi-service fee in addition to the price displayed on the meter (around 200 Baht to the city centre and around 300 Baht to the Conference venue). The total cost could range from 300 to 450 Baht.

If you wish to take an airport limousine, go down one level from the arrival hall and check with the limousine counter.

Return bookings and departure from Bangkok
Participants are advised to ensure that their return bookings are confirmed soon after their arrival in Bangkok. For this purpose, participants should contact their airline directly. Queues at the check-in counters and at passport control can be long. You are therefore advised to check in for your flight at least two hours before departure. The journey from the Conference venue to Suvarnabhumi International Airport can take an hour or more, depending on the traffic. Travellers leaving Thailand do not have to pay any departure tax.
