About EPR
The Education Policy and Reform Unit (EPR) has been established to enhance the sector-wide coherence of UNESCO’s cooperation in education and to strengthen the Organization’s response to increasing needs for support in education policy, planning, finance and reform in countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Cross-cutting issues such as reaching marginalized populations and quality of learning are explicit foci of EPR’s policy and planning support.
The specific mission of the EPR Unit is to:
- Coordinate and conduct policy analyses, research and foresight on the education sector in the region.
- Provide policy advice and technical support in the preparation of robust education policies, strategies and plans as well as in the management of their education systems.
- Organize policy dialogues and strengthen networking, partnerships and clearinghouse functions on education policy and management.
