Dae-Bong Kwon

Prof. Dr. Dae-Bong Kwon took up the position as President of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) in September 2008. KRIVET is a national policy research institute specializing in lifelong learning and human resources development in the Republic of Korea. Prior to joining KRIVET, he taught at Michigan State University and Kookmin University. He is currently on a leave of absence from Korea University. At Korea University, he was professor and Dean of the College of Education, Dean of the Graduate School of Education, and Director of the Institute for Continuing Education. He was the Founding President of the Korean Society for Human Resource Development, and the 23rd President of Korean Society for Lifelong Education. His major policy interests are linkage between school and labor market, quality control system in school, industry-academia partnership, and comparative and international education. He received BA in education from Korea University, and MA and Ph.D. in adult and continuing education from Michigan State University after having 8 years of international working experience in Ssangyong Business Group.
