If you want to show videos from Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe or Video Google you don't need to configure much! It is very intuitive and easy!

Follow this steps

  1. Whenever you want to display a video inside a content element, you need to select a dummy file with the file ending “.rgg” as a placeholder. This file can be empty (fileadmin/DEMO/dummy.rgg) (mandatory!).
  2. Insert the Position
  3. Insert the Image Dimension (mandatory!)
  4. Insert a caption - i.e. copy the description from youtube
  5. Add the URL to the video in the “Alternative Text” field using the following syntax: file:URL  i.e.  file:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUH3tZuDrCY
  6. Save and Test

  7. Attention: Please insert always one dummy.rgg file each, per Video or Multimedia Element, if you want to show more than one.
    i.e. file:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T406i8lljE Attention: Start for each Multimedia Element a new line!

This is an iFrame

iFrame in Text w/image

If you want to show an iFrame you are not able to configure much! So it is very easy!

Follow this steps

  1. Whenever you want to display an iframe inside a content element, you need to select a dummy file with the file ending “.rgg” as a placeholder. This file can be empty (fileadmin/DEMO/dummy.rgg) (mandatory!).
  2. Insert the Position
  3. Insert the Image Dimension (mandatory!)
  4. Insert a caption
  5. Add the URL to the website in the “Alternative Text” field using the following syntax: file:URL  i.e. file:iframehttp://gnu.unescobkk.org/index.php?id=6
  6. Save and Test

This is a tt_content Element

Record in Text w/image

If you want to show a tt_content Element you are not able to configure much! So it is very easy!

Follow this steps

  1. Whenever you want to display a tt_content element inside a content element, you need to select a dummy file with the file ending “.rgg” as a placeholder. This file can be empty (fileadmin/DEMO/dummy.rgg) (mandatory!).
  2. Insert the Position
  3. Insert the Image Dimension (mandatory!)
  4. Insert a caption
  5. Add the ID to the “Alternative Text” field using the following syntax: file:tt_contentID  i.e. file:tt_content
  6. Save and Test

This is a swf file

SWF in Text w/image

If you want to show SWF you don't need to configure much! It is very intuitive and easy!

Follow this steps

  1. Whenever you want to display a swf inside a content element, you need to select your swf file (mandatory!).
  2. Insert the Position
  3. Insert the Image Dimension (mandatory!)
  4. Insert a caption
  5. Save and Test

This is a wmv file

WMV in Text w/image

If you want to show mp3 you are not able to configure much! So it is very easy!

Follow this steps

  1. Whenever you want to display a swf inside a content element, you need to select your mp3 file (mandatory!).
  2. Insert the Position
  3. Insert the Image Dimension (mandatory!)
  4. Insert a caption
  5. Save and Test

MP3 in Text w/image

If you want to show mp3 you don't need to configure much! It is very intuitive and easy!

Follow this steps

  1. Whenever you want to display a swf inside a content element, you need to select your mp3 file (mandatory!).
  2. Insert the Position
  3. Insert the Image Dimension (mandatory!)
  4. Insert a caption
  5. Save and Test
  6. Attention: Always start a new line to show captions for more than one file

You can insert a line break into the caption < br / > to get a nicer structured output of your captions if needed.
Attention: don't use an empty space after < and before >. The example is showing these spaces to display the br tag as visible text at all ;-)
As you can see in the above example it is possible to show also bold 'b' - underline 'u' and italic 'i'.

Image in Text w/image

If you want to show only pictures with Text you don't need to configure much! It is very intuitive and easy!

Follow this steps

  1. Whenever you want to display a pictures inside a content element, you need to select your picture files (mandatory!).
  2. Insert the Position
  3. Insert the Image Dimension (mandatory!)
  4. Insert a caption (new line for new picture)
  5. Save and Test
