EENET is an inclusive education information-sharing network, open to everyone. Its network members include teachers, parents, students, non-governmental organisations and policy-makers. The network promotes and shares information and documentation originating in the South (developing countries) and encourages critical thinking, innovation and conversations within and between countries, on issues of inclusion, equity and rights in education.
EENET publishes a newsletter annually dedicated to share experience and expertise, discuss and learn, inspire and support closer collaboration and information exchange between policy-makers, programmers and practitioners who are concerned with inclusive education for all. EENET Asia is part of the global EENET Network which was created in 1997.

Review study of EFA National Plans of Action in Asia and the Pacific and Country plan annexes
UNESCO Bangkok commissioned a study in May 2004 to review and analyze the status of inclusive education in 17 national EFA action plans in the Asia-Pacific region, with a special focus on disadvantaged and marginalized groups. The study served as the key background document for the regional workshop on inclusive education held in October 2004 in Bangkok. This document is a synthesis report of the study, whereof the first section includes the highlights from the study that were shared in the regional workshop and the second section includes the summary reports. Regional Workshop on Inclusive Education: 'Getting All Children into School and Helping Them Learn', 19-21 October 2004 - Final report
In the Asia-Pacific region, many attempts have been made to promote inclusive education, and numerous practical experiences have been gathered. In order to learn from each other and to commemorate the ten years that has passed since the Salamanca World Conference in 1994, a regional workshop on inclusive education was organized from 19 to 21 October 2004 in Bangkok.

Welcoming Schools
This training material illustrates characteristics, competencies, skills and teaching and learning practices used by teachers who are working to promote the inclusion and participation of children with disabilities in the classroom. The material can be used for professional development activities and workshops which will help other teachers across a range of schools in different countries to develop inclusive practices in classrooms.
