About Secondary Education
Following the successful expansion of primary schooling in many countries in the Asia-Pacific region, there is increased focus on making the same gains at the secondary level. Ensuring secondary education is relevant, and that it equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to actively participate in society, is thus becoming ever more important. Addressing inequalities in access to quality secondary education, improving management and financing, and enhancing the linkages with tertiary and technical and vocational education are therefore at the forefront of this area of work.
