Public Information Services manages media relations within the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Asia Pacific region. It is housed under the Information and Knowledge Management Unit and serves as the link between the general public, UN agencies, the private sector, donors and many other specialized audiences.
PI Services provides content for the online Press Room, produces press releases and features, but also releases the quarterly UNESCO Bangkok newsletter, which is freely downloadable.
The PI team assists the media by providing media training, offering field trips and preparing press releases and features about the work of the Regional Bureau.
