    Australian Robyn Jackson, Melbourne resident and former Director at a technical and vocational education and training institute in Australia, made the decision to volunteer in Myanmar last year when she was asked by a colleague to pass on an advertisement for a volunteer position to other professionals in her field.

UNESCO Bangkok has a Project Office established in Yangon, Mayanmar. Through this, and in collaboration with the National Commission for Myanmar, UNESCO Bangkok is able to develop programmes and take action in Myanmar. 

UNESCO’s action in Myanmar reflect the UN Strategic Framework for Myanmar 2012-2015.

UNESCO Bangkok has been preparing a UNESCO Country Planning Document Myanmar 2012-2015.
