It’s Jazz time! – Join for UNESCO International Jazz Night at Saxophone Pub in Bangkok

To celebrate the first ever UNESCO International Jazz Day on 30 April 2012, UNESCO Bangkok and Saxophone Pub Bangkok are jointly organizing a Jazz Night on Thursday 26 April in Bangkok’s Saxophone Bar.


The unique Jazz music style will be celebrated as promoter of peace, dialogue and respect among diverse cultures, and as a great power to eradicate discrimination. This International Day will bring together communities, schools, artists, historians, academics, and jazz enthusiasts all over the world to celebrate and learn about the art of jazz, its roots, its future and its impact on society. 

The programme on UNESCO’s International Jazz Night at Saxophone Pub on Thursday 26 April as follows:

07.30 pm - 08.30 pm: Cheepchanok Acoustic Guitar 
08.30 pm - 09.00 pm: Opening of the Jazz night by Derek Namfa, Director Saxophone Bar, and Etienne Clement, Deputy Director UNESCO Bangkok
09.00 pm - 11.30 pm: JRP Little Big Band (incl. an open jam session) 
00.00 am - 01.30 am: The Emergency by Lek T-Bone
