As a second step of the the project on "Training and Professional Development of Teachers/Facilitators in the Effective Use of ICTs for Improved Teaching and Learning", UNESCO invited a multidisciplinary group to develop a framework of guidelines and competency-based standards for integrating technology with pedagogy in teacher education for greater teacher professional development.
