Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, Prime Minister of Thailand, chaired an Inauguration Ceremony of International Literacy Day under the theme “Reading Promotion: Moving towards Lifelong Learning Society” on Sunday 6 September 2009 at the Government House.

The ceremony is joined by Mr. Gwang-Jo Kim, Director of UNESCO Bangkok, Mr. Jurin Laksanavisit, Minister of Education, governors, representatives from state and private sectors, Non-formal and Informal Education administrators, press and a large number of concerned people.
