The video spotlights the severe shortage of trained teachers around the world, which is the theme of Global Action Week (GAW) 2013. Led by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), this year's slogan is "Every Child Needs a Teacher". Many students go to school but are not learning because there are no teachers to teach them. In addition to the shortage of trained and dedicated teachers, this video highlights the important role teachers play in making the difference between students just being in school and being in school and learning. Global Action Week is a worldwide annual campaign organized by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) to raise awareness of the importance of Education for All. UNESCO actively supports the campaign by organizing activities in its Headquarters and Field Offices, mobilizing networks and encouraging Ministers of Education and all EFA partners to participate.
