Internship opportunities


Communication and Information Unit (CI) welcomes interns to learn about UNESCO’s programmes in communication and information sector and to assist in the implementation of activities. The Unit involves in matters like communication development; freedom of expression, democracy and peace; information society; media and information literacy and Memory of the World.

Interns come from all around the world and should be enrolled in a post-graduate degree programme or hold a degree in a field relevant to communication, information, advertising and media (journalism, broadcasting, radio, web, social media, information science, media laws and so on). The internship period is usually between 3-6 months.

Please note that internship opportunities are limited and are undertaken on a voluntary basis and that all expenses connected with the UNESCO internship will be borne by the trainee. 

Applications will be screened by Advisor for CI in Asia on a rolling basis.
