Preamble
We, the members of the Asia Pacific Information Network (APIN), declare our commitment to build a knowledge society that is people-centered, inclusive and development-oriented, ensuring that all people have access to information they can use to enhance their lives. In solidarity we affirm that this knowledge society shall be anchored on the principles of democracy and good governance, sustainable development, and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, empowering citizenries to be critical and creative users and producers of information to enjoy its full benefits.
In consequence we hereby promulgate this Constitution.
