Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on Cultural Mapping and Cultural Diversity Programming Lens to Safeguard Tangible and Intangible Cultural Expressions and Protect Cultural Diversity: Training for Asia Pacific Field Personnel

(Bangkok, Thailand 15-19 December 2004)

In parallel with the objective of introducing the concept of cultural diversity programming lens, the workshop was designed to present various tools and techniques in cultural mapping from the micro to macro-level and evaluate its usage and impact. Through participative discussions and exercises, the participants learned how to structure, present and interpret cultural data, understand cultural mapping in its broader meaning, and how to design and implement cultural mapping through participatory tools.
