  • Collaborating for Better ICT Ethics On November 30, 2010, Se-yeoung, Chun, the president of Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) entered into a memorandum of understanding with Boo-Kweon, Park,  President of Korea Telecom Culture Foundation (KT Culture Foundation) in pursuit of a more agreeable ICT ethics and to reinforce ICT ethics education for students.

  • KERIS & MACCA signs MOU on Future School in Sejong City Se-Yeoung, Chun, the president of Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the Future School Model and its operation with Man-Hee, Han, the president of the Multifunctional Administrative City Construction Agency (MACCA) on November 29, 2010.

  • Standards are the Key Issue Facing the Age of Digital Publications
    On December 3, 2010, Korea Education and Research Information Service hosted the Technology Seminar for Open Digital Publication at the Kyobo Building at Gwanghwamun, Seoul. The seminar was organized by the Open Digital publication Forum (ODPF) and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Agency for Technology and Standards, Telecommunications Technology Association, and Kyobo Books.

  • KERIS Education Symposium 2010
    On December 14, 2010, Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) held the ‘KERIS ICT in Education Symposium 2010’ at the Seoul Education and Culture Center. This, the 11th symposium, was comprised of more than 550 participants, including professors, students, teachers, and educational specialists who gathered to share achievements in ICT in education of the year and to discuss new directions for ICT in education toward the development of new technology. Most notably, the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Dong-geun, Seoul, also attended and gave congratulatory remarks.

  • Experts advocates use of technology in education
    DOHA ― Education is fundamentally about sharing knowledge, and should always remain open to information and communications technology, according to one of Korea’s leading experts in the field. “Education started off from mankind’s desire to share, preserve or pass on knowledge,” said Chun Se-yeoung, president of the Korea Education and Research Information Service.“It is therefore not an ultimate purpose in itself but a means to achieve communication.”
