Teacher Policies

The quality of education largely depends on the capacity and motivation of its teaching force which includes teachers and practitioners in the education system, as well as facilitators in the non-formal education programmes. The issues in this area range from teacher recruitment, training, deployment, compensation, retention, status and working conditions. This requires policy makers, education managers and professionals to adopt a systemic approach to dealing with teacher policies.
