UNESCO Calendar 2009 for Promoting Gender Equality in Education
Approaching 2015.... What more needs to be done?
In 2008, UNESCO Bangkok organized a second photo contest on the theme of “Promoting Gender Equality in Education – Approaching 2015.... What more needs to be done?” among countries that are part of the Gender in Education Network in Asia-Pacific (GENIA). THe main criteria for the entries were to capture gender equality in action and to show how gender stereotypes are being challenged in schools, homes and communities here in our region.
