The main areas of interventions by UNESCO:

United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF):

  • Out-of-School Children:
    • to support data gathering of out-of-school children;
    • to raise awareness on the problem of out-of-school children; 
    • to make ensuring an education for all children a national priority.
  • Early childhood development: 
    • to promote access to quality early services.
  • Child-Friendly Schools:
    • to mainstream its concept into national education system; 
    • to improve the quality of education.

 

The Australian Agency for International Development (Aus Aid):

  •  Teacher training: 
    • to improve the teaching of science and math in Southern Thailand.

 

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA):

  • Higher education: 
    • to improve the quality of education and research ability in higher education; 
    • to produce the human resources who can contribute the sustainable and stable economic development. 

 

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ):

  • Regional Cooperation Platform for Vocational Education and Teacher Training in the ASEAN Region for joint research and consultancy on vocational education.
