The main areas of interventions by UNESCO:

Proposed UNESCO interventions are:

  • Promotion of evidence-based education policy and planning, and monitoring and evaluation (including statistical capacity development and system development such as Education Management Information System);

  • Enhancing the quality of teaching and learning through relevant curriculum, and innovative practices and materials;

  • Strengthening capacities of teachers and principals in delivery of quality educational services in primary and secondary education (UNESCO 2008).
